The nasal cornet (RC-Cornet®N) has proven itself as physiotherapeutic aid with and without additional medication in patients with increased secretions of the sinuses and nasopharynx.
Exhalation through the nose produces pressure fluctuations that open up narrowings of the sinuses so that the mucous can flow out. Additionaly, the pressure fluctuations massage the mucosa thereby increasing the blood supply to the nasopharynx, the lymph flow and increasing ciliary action.
The pressure ocsillations of the RC-Cornet®N are produced by exhalation through a swinging valve hose without the need of any power source.
