The i-Pro mask uses the same filter medium as respiratory filters. This filter medium has proven bacterial and viral efficiency and is combined with a soft and flexible seal.

Depending on the type of mask and where and for what it is used, the efficiency of the mask can be divided into three properties:
The filtration efficiency. The (quality of the) fit. The wearing comfort.
1. Filtration efficiency
Depending on where the product is tested, masks are subject to different testing methods. There are two main classifications of protective masks and they both require slightly different test methods and performance levels:
N95 standard requires >95% efficiency. FFP2 standard requires >94% efficiency. The i-Pro mask offers >99% efficiency.
2. The (quality of the) fit The overall protection that a mask can provide also depends on the quality of the fit. If the seal leaks because it does not fit completely, it will not fully protect the wearer. The quality of this seal can be quantified as the face fit factor:
3. The wearing comfort The overall comfort of wearing a mask is also very important. It has been shown that the low resistance (resistance to flow) allows the mask to be worn for the duration of an entire shift without increasing breathing effort. The unique flexible seal makes wearing comfortable and helps the mask to be used correctly.
The flexible soft seal provides a comfortable and effective seal, minimizing the risk of potential damage and trauma sometimes associated with wearing personal protective masks. The high quality seal limits air leakage and thus also eliminates fogging of goggles.
